La neige est la danse

so after a dull fall, i think this new year has given me a little upper.

I think back on all of last year, January to December, and remember all the craziness and change that happened. Which gives me hope that my year will not be constant, things will happen, life is a roller coaster and who knows where i will be in life next fall.

work has already gotten better, we have a new director at the boys and girls club and i feel like i'm taken less advantage of which is good. I'm just doing my job and I get to leave at the end of the day without mopping floors. Also I'm doing bookkeeping part time at the first hand learning office in the mornings. our bookkeeper is out on surgery so she trained me and i'm filling in for her while she's gone. i'm not gonna lie, i like doing office work. today i reconciled 5 different bank account statments (that was sort of not fun) but everything else from making invoices to printing checks and stapling things together, filing things, doing payroll.... i just love it! i don't know why. maybe because i feel really accomplished after i've done stuff like that, like i actually use my brain haha. anyways it's good and i'm getting paid for it.... so awesome.

this new year sparked a new idea.

i started making a list of things i want to accomplish in the next 6 months which can be anything. so far i have down:

-print most of my pictures and make photo albums (i need some concrete photos going on in my life)

-make a quilt and/or crochet an afghan

-make a book

-write a song

-write a letter to someone

- print out all online blogs since high school and bind them. (again i need the concreteness)

hopefully i will accomplish these goals.... i need to plan to do things i love. sad but true.

i'm sad because lauren is leaving the states for a year A YEAR! just knowing that i can't see her for another year breaks my heart. :( prayers always for that wonderful girl.

man working 9 hour days is a bit ridic. i'm pooped. no wonder i don't have a social life.

also i find it humorous that i like to draw on my laptop with colored pencils. If i owned a Mac i would clearly not be doing that. that is why this is humorous.
