New Years Image Resolution
if you were to ask me what my "new years resolutions" would be I would tell you... lose weight, learn turkish, and write a book. But the more I think about it... I usually approach the new year in a different way.
the 2 definitions I think of when I hear the word "resolution"are:
-a course of action determined or decided on
-the fineness of detail that can be distinguished in an image
The first definition being the traditional new years resolution, but the second definition is something I like to personally apply.
what do I want to be the detail of my life in 2012? If you were to look at the very fineness of my image what would that be? Some images have a very low-resolution and tend to be pixilated and fuzzy, but high-resolution images are very detailed and clear. if you were to zoom into a picture completely you would eventually see pixels which are squares. Each square is a unique color that, when combined in a certain pattern, create an image.
So what are the pixels that make up my life? Are the colors of my pixels all correct? When put together do they resemble me? For instance, I can’t have a bunch of brown pixels where my eyes would be, since in reality they are blue. In this same way, are there things in my life that don’t resemble me? Or are there certain things missing? Is my image still fuzzy? This year I will be learning more about myself and growing and becoming who I was made to be.

So instead of making a new years resolution, I’m just making
my resolution higher.
